  • Will This Glorify Christ?

    Will This Glorify Christ?

If we truly asked ourselves this question every day, we would make better choices in the things we watch, the conversations we have, the people we associate with, and the things we listen to. Nothing in life is too small to consider this question: “Will this glorify Christ?” Everything we do should bring glory to God—through the way we speak, dress, the conversations we engage in, the movies we watch, and the music we listen to.

  • Let Your Life Speak

Without opening your mouth to say a word, can others tell that you are a Christian? The way you dress, talk, walk, and the people you associate with all say a lot about your character. Your life is the greatest testimony to the world. What testimony are you sharing?

  • Eternal Life vs. Earthly Pleasures: Will You Choose Heaven?

Nothing in This World Is Worth Missing Out on Heaven For

If people only truly knew what they will miss out on for this world and its fleeting pleasures. The nicest cars, the biggest houses, the greatest jobs none of it compares to the joys of our Heavenly home. Yet, so many would rather enjoy these things for a moment and give up eternal life.

  • Rising Above Challenges: Trusting God Through Life’s Hardships

I recently saw a post about a young man who got injured while doing something he enjoyed and ended up having to walk with crutches. It was very hard for him to adjust since he was a very active person, but instead of letting that keep him down, he accepted it and thought of different ways to still get around and do what he loved—like going on, and almost completing a mile hike with crutches. He didn’t let his circumstances hold him back or stop him from doing the things he enjoyed.

I quickly ran back inside to grab a flashlight and felt relieved when I could see what was around me as I walked. Then, for some reason, I pointed the flashlight up to the sky, and the light seemed to disappear into the darkness. That moment made me stop and think.

  • Serving the Least of These This Holiday Season

Happy December! Christmas is right around the corner, the lights are going up, and the Christmas carols are playing. Have you ever stopped to think about how Christmas should be celebrated if it were truly about Christ? If Jesus were really born in December, the shepherds wouldn’t have been out in the fields keeping watch over their flocks in the cold of winter. But most people don’t think about that because, for them, Christmas isn’t really about Christ—it’s just another holiday full of food and gifts, centered around self.

  • A Heart of Gratitude: Embracing Life’s Blessings This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so why don’t we take a moment to think over our lives and count our blessings? Every day is a gift from God, and we should never take that for granted. As we go about our normal day-to-day routines, God is always watching over us. Each meal we eat and every sip of water we drink is a blessing from Him.

  • Patience in the Chrysalis: Trusting God’s Timing for Your Transformation

Don’t come out of your chrysalis to soon! Do you know that if a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis to soon, it may not have developed enough to survive? The struggle that the butterfly must go through to come out of the chrysalis helps it build strength in its wings and other muscles it needs to fly and survive. Also, if a butterfly is helped out of its chrysalis, it may have weak wings and therefore it cannot fly.
